Complements & Robberies
An American guy passing by me on the street told me I had amazing hair. I smiled because I thought if I were in Kuwait and that same complement happened... Well, it just wouldn't, or he would be in deep trouble. I am embarrassed. I found out this afternoon that the backpack I bought a month still had the security tag on it. Now what will these foreigners say about me? "She steals bags!" they will say. I rushed back tot he bookstore, explained my situation to the cashier and showed him my receipt, he replied "Oh, you came here to remove the tag?" No, I just came here because I have nothing better to do with my life. Well, he eventually removed it, and I kept my side-eyed comment to myself. On Sept. 28th, a woman was robbed by a man. she was walking through the parking lost she felt a hard pull on her purse which was on her shoulder. As she turned around, the robber reached around her and grabbed her from behind. She struggled to get away, the purse came free...
